X-slip

Slip agents are chemical substances, which are capable to adjust the needed slipping properties of the polymers.

The two different groups of slip additives are distinguished. internal and external slip agents.
While internal slip agents improve the processability by better melt flow due to the reduction of shear stress. External slip agents mainly improve the slip properties of the final product.

Advantages of the use of internal slip agents are
- Increase of the output
- Processing aid due to better melt flow

Advantages with the use of external slip agents are
- Better demoulding in injection moulding
- Reduction of friction of screw caps
- Better denesting properties of packagings

Depending on the requirements for long therm slip properties we offer migrating or
non-migrating slip agents.
The combination of external slip agents with antiblock agents is commonly used for achieving optimal slipping properties on the surface.

X-slip masterbatches are concentrates with internal and external slip agents and also mixtures of both active ingredients.

X-slip provides mixtures for all common thermoplastics. They are suitable for all applications in extrusion and injection molding.
